Learn the story of the extraordinary (and unlikely) friendship of Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider, as they strategically save Wilbur from becoming the main course for Christmas dinner.
Eight year-old farm girl, Fern, saved Wilbur’s life when he was born the runt of the litter by taking him in as her pet. Eventually, she must sell Wilbur to her uncle, Mr. Zuckerman, who owns a nearby animal farm.
At his new farm, Wilbur meets Charlotte, a grey spider who befriends him. Charlotte vows to save Wilbur from being killed, by weaving words about him into her web. Everyone thinks the webs are miracles! After going to a state fair and receiving a special prize, Wilbur is proud and finally feels loved and safe. Charlotte dies shortly after laying her eggs, and Wilbur cares for the eggs so that he will always have a part of Charlotte in his life.
